The 36th National Garden Railroad Convention was held in Nashville in 2021. This was the first time the National Garden Railroad Convention was held in Nashville. More than 600 people were in attendance including 31 vendors that support the garden railroading hobby. In 2027, the Nashville Area Garden Railroaders will host the 42nd National Garden Railroad Convention from May 31 to June 5. The convention will include tours of garden railroad layouts in the Nashville area, a vendor hall, clinics on topics relevant to the hobby, Making Trains Fun Youth Clinics, a banquet and special family activities during the evenings.
